Gazit Horizons Signs Popup Bagels to Storefront in Harvard Square

Gazit Horizons, the U.S. subsidiary of G City Ltd. (TASE: GZT),a leading global real estate company focused on the ownership, development and management of shopping centers and mixed-use properties in major urban markets, announced today that it has secured a lease with PopUp Bagels, the acclaimed “Not Famous But Known”® bagel concept, at 1430 Massachusetts Avenue, a 50,000 square foot mixed use building on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Church Street in Harvard Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

“PopUp Bagels creates a real sensation in the neighborhoods where it opens,” said Zvi Gordon, CEO of Gazit Horizons. “This is an ideal addition for our newly updated building at the heart of Harvard Square and we anticipate them being a very popular addition to this high-profile location for local residents, commuters, and students alike.” The company, serving hot and whole bagels of customers to “Grip, Rip, and Dip”®, recently opened in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood, and has also announced a shop planned for Assembly Row in Somerville later this year.

1430 Massachusetts Avenue, commonly known as College House, is a historic 50,000 square foot, 6-story urban mixed-use building situated in the heart of Harvard Square. This iconic property features retail storefronts on the ground floor facing the center of the square,Harvard Yard, and the Harvard Square MBTA Subway station.

Gazit Horizons also owns and manages several high-profile properties in the Greater Boston area, including in Downtown Boston, on Newbury Street in Back Bay, Downtown Crossing, and Harvard Square, Cambridge.
